SUMMARY: WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers. This position is for an Information Technology Engineer that will work under the direction of WinTec Arrowmaker's Chief of Network Operations and will produce creative IT and network solutions for challenging circumstances. This full-time position is located in Tampa, FL. Anticipate travel 25%.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Configures, implements, and maintains local area networks utilizing managed network equipment.
• Defines and administers routed network addressing schemes, VLANs, and subnets.
• Provisions and deploys commercial off the shelf wireless networks to expand access to LANs.
• Installs and maintains both server and endpoint client workstation operation systems.
• Assists users with network and information technology issues through troubleshooting techniques.
• Establishes, develops, and refines network architecture, layout, and footprint documentation.
• Performs job functions both within an office setting as well as in the field at experimentation venues.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum of three (3) years relevant work experience. *equivalent training or experience may be substituted for degree requirement*
• Cisco certifications (CCNA), Microsoft network/operating system certifications, and UNIX/Linux experience.
• Knowledge of military radios, SATCOM systems, and wireless technology (802.11, wireless mobile ADHOC network technology).
• Travel is required (20-30%) as well as some weekend and off-hours support.
• Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
• Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies.
• Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
• Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
• Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
SECURITY CLEARANCE : Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance with eligibility for a Top-Secret Clearance.
LOCATION: Tampa, FL.
