We are looking for a Information Security Engineer/Architect to join one of our clients in the Tampa area, must be able to do two days onsite for a hybrid role!
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systems that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy.
Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing and analysis of existing systems.
Participate in risk assessments for new technologies and projects.
Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements to protect existing infrastructure and to incorporate future solutions.
Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements utilizing a variety of security information and event management (SIEM), data loss prevention (DLP), penetration testing, and other tools.
Works with Internal/External Auditors, Risk Management, and business leaders to meet regulatory requirements. Assist Vendor Management to ensure Third Parties hosting systems containing credit union confidential data are appropriately vetted and recertified annually for SOC 2 Type 2 compliance.
Minimum Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. (A comparable combination of education, work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.) One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, SANS GIAC, CISM, ISSAP, ISSEP, Microsoft Azure Security Engineer certification or equivalent certification from a reputable institution.
Five or more years of progressive experience as a systems administrator, network administrator, security engineer or similar role implementing and administering enterprise endpoint and network security solutions.
Five or more years of experience in security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles and emerging technologies - Designing and implementing security solutions. This includes continuous monitoring and making improvements to those solutions, working with an information security team.
Five or more years consulting and engineering in the development and design of security best practices and implementation of solid security principles across the organization, to meet business goals along with customer and regulatory requirements.
