POOL NURSE FLOAT Nursing & Patient Care Services Hours: 7pm - 7:30am, rotating weekends Night Shift - PRN (As Needed) Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: NSG PNF - 44.2500 - 44.2501
Candidates interested in this position must be able to independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing. This position requires the ability to: Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures of Moffitt Cancer Center. Float RNs must use professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based on assessment of the patient#s baseline needs and response to care. Must be able to monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care including equipment and material resources. It is expected that staff members will participate in their own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings. It is also expected that Float RNs will participate in the identification of clinical or operational performance improvement opportunities and in performance improvement activities. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years current experience in an acute care setting in Med/Surg nursing for the M/S Float Pool. Must have current and valid RN License through the State of Florida. RN#s hired into this non-benefited classification will commit to the work requirements of Nursing PRN Programs with a minimum of 48 hours per pay period. Employees will receive a set rate of pay based on the program commitment. This position is managed by Nursing Operations. Candidates will be required to complete Hospital Orientation and a 1 week full-time nursing orientation.
