Who we are looking for:
Atkore is currently searching for a Sr. Finance Manager for our East Region of the PVC Pipe and Conduit (PPC) Strategic Business Unit. Reporting to the Director of Finance - PPC, this position will be a key member of the strategic business unit and will partner closely with the PPC Vice President/General Manager, Director of PPC Operations - East, and the PPC VP of Operations. Some key aspects of this role will be to provide planning, forecasting and analysis for four manufacturing plants located in the region as well as managing a team of three direct reports.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 10 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting. Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Lead the monthly financial forecasting cycle process for the PPC - East organization working closely with the Director of Finance, Director of Operations - PPC East and Plant Managers on key assumptions
* Evergreen the monthly forecast into weekly updates as well as a rolling four quarter forecast
* Review monthly financial results with the General Manager, Director of Operations and Plant managers including key metrics providing financial analysis
* Facilitate monthly plant reviews with key individuals within the business unit
* Provide financial oversight and leadership concerning capital investment decision. Partner with plant personnel to effectively complete the Capital Equipment Request ("CER") form in order to justify the investment prior to the Vice President of Finance and Business Unit President review.
* Oversee and complete the monthly Strategic Business Unit Review ("SBUR") package which summarizes the monthly financial performance and co-lead the monthly review with the General Managers presenting to the Business Unit President and Vice President of Finance
* Lead, develop and/or recruit financial personnel to support the financial operations as needed
* Collaborate with the PPC Finance team utilizing best practices and sharing resources
* Support the General Manager, VP of Operations and Director of Operations to develop the annual strategic plan and financial budget
* Work closely with the Lean Management team on cost improvements and project savings validations. Recommend metrics to be tracked and lead the implementation of countermeasures as necessary
* Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications Include:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong aptitude for Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including cost accounting
* Certified Public Accountant or Master of Business Administration a plus
* Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing setting
* Must have managed a team, experience working in a multi-plant environment a plus
* Demonstrated experience working with Senior Level Management and Executives providing clear and concise information and recommendations
* Experience with ERP systems, preferably Quickbooks and Oracle products such as JD Edwards, HFM, Essbase
* Experience using Excel pivot tables, v-look-ups, graphs, etc.
* Aptitude for continuous improvement and process re-design
* Excellent leaderships skill and demonstrate an ability to work effectively with individuals of various skill sets
* Experience in all facets of talent management, including assessment, organizational change and professional development
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
