Regional Fleet Director
Position Purpose: To acquire and retain major service customers; to expand TotalCare and Fleet Management customer base; to build relationships with senior managers of customers with substantial usage of material handling equipment; to support 10% annual growth in subscribed maintenance agreements services, 45% equipment market share, and established operational profitability goals.
Position Summary
The person in this position will serve as a strategic partner to the success of the Company and will be responsible for informing industrial equipment customers of costs and steps to ensure SST fulfills our promise of enhancing customer profits, safety, and profitability while achieving the lowest Total Cost of Ownership. This position is responsible for creating insightful presentations that allow customers to make educated life cycle decisions. In addition, this position will: coordinate actions with the Solutions Department and to provide the optimal solution for our customers; conduct training for Solutions and Service associates on service program benefits and applicability; support solution diagnostic process through customer visits and interviews to determine as-is cost opportunities; coordinate with the appropriate Operations associates to ensure customer feedback and expectations are met.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Provide periodic fleet reporting services and recommendations to senior management and executives of Major Accounts to include required face-to-face Customer Visits/ Engagements as well as pop-up solutions conferences (in person or virtual) as defined by Regional General Managers or VP Analytics
• Support Conquest Sales, Service and Parts accounts from designated list of accounts provided by VP of Analytics in coordination with EVPs of Solutions and Operations.
• Participate in Discover and Diagnostic phases of the new customer process as subject matter expert
• Oversee Units in Operation improvements via customer visits and engagement with Service Advisors and Solutions associates
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on advising customers on service solutions and provide support to include scheduled ride-along and continuing training to Solutions and Customer Service associates
• Participate in Analytics Improvement efforts with primary responsibility for creating best-in-class on-line customer / dealer fleet reporting experience and predictive maintenance solutions and analytics support to SST leadership teams
• Provide diagnostic and service support to Solutions associates to capture additional sales
Key Performance Parameters/Goals
• Customer Presentations and Reporting
• Top Accounts (Customers invoiced >$50k annually or as assigned)
• Annually visit 100% of identified Accounts
• Provide 80% of accounts with quarterly review/reporting via visit or email that
• Categorize expenses
• Recommend Service Plan or material improvements
• Proposed unit replacement timeline
• Monthly or Quarterly Budget recommendations
• Conquest Accounts List (reviewed quarterly with EVP Solutions and Operations)
• 100% Quarterly visits to Conquest Customer List
• Meet assigned goals for TotalCare and ExtraCare agreements
• Support to Solutions – maintain 45% equipment market share
• Proactively coordinate with Solutions Consultants to plan and conduct customer visits and cost agreement on designated large opportunities
• Join Solutions consultants at assigned intervals for full days to provide continuing training, assist in customer cold-calls, and improve their proficiency in identifying and presenting service solutions
• Enhance Solutions Consultants ability to generate tailored value pieces using standard SST tools and continually evolve tools forward
• Provide ad hoc detailed analysis of customer needs as requested
• Units on Service Management
• Support Branch Customer retention strategies via support to Operations Associates and Service Agreement increase
• Primary responsibility for pricing of TotalCare and ExtraCare units based upon matrix developed and maintained by Director – Strategic Fleets; Fleet Directors can approve modified prices based upon operating conditions, customer fleet sizes, and Solutions/Operation market share goals (increase/decrease to pricing)
• In coordination with Director – Strategic Fleets and Operations Associates, Fleet Directors monitor profitability of TotalCare and ExtraCare accounts and recommend actions to enhance or improve customer availability and SST profitability which can include altering used hours to address over/under utilization, modification to equipment, customer operator training, and SST associate actions
• Support to Operations Associates
• Conduct weekly meetings with Branch Operations Managers (BOMs) to identify and provide sustained coaching to improve identified trends unique to that branch
• Assist BOMs in managing Units in Operation (UIO) and conducting at least annual visits to customers not using SST for service or parts. Goal is to maintain Toyota/Raymond judged annual service market share and serviced unit counts
• Provide training in use of Analytics developed tools as well as capture recommended improvements/enhancement requirements

Qualifications
Must have working knowledge of current material handling industry trends and of material handling equipment maintenance; must possesses excellent oral presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products; must be willing to travel in the Florida and Georgia market, supporting Jacksonville, Valdosta, Macon, Albany, and Columbus branches.
Nature and Scope
Position reports to the Vice President of Analytics.
Environmental Job Requirements
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, while performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to noisier shop environments and may be exposed to unusual environments at customer sites. When performing duties of this job, it is a requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment whenever appropriate.
At times, this position will require travel to other branches in Florida and Georgia. Travel will be by car and will require prolonged periods of sitting and driving in light to heavy traffic.
Physical Job Requirements
Associate is required to frequently sit, talk, and listen, and to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, including computer, presentation equipment, and other office equipment. Associate is required to occasionally stand and walk. Associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. At times, this position will require travel to other branches in Florida. Travel will be by car and will require prolonged periods of sitting and driving in light to heavy traffic.
