Position Summary:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will lead, assist, and coordinate activities of warehouse personnel related to shipping and receiving functions. This generally includes, oversight and handling of incoming and outgoing materials and products to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of shipments, and reporting any shipment or delivery discrepancies to management for timely resolution.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
* Inspect items/parts against our photos, work orders, AX dynamics, Mercury Gate, labels/tags, BOL, etc. to meet all customer requirements prior to processing for shipments as well as scanning over the documents to the carrier before end of shift.
* Assisting in training employees on the new product integration (NPI)
* End of the line inspection for the new product assembly according to standard
* Identify, correct and prevent any unsafe action or condition that exists on or around equipment, machines or warehouse area(s).
* Responsible for making the necessary correction(s) and notify the Supervisor or Manager immediately if any discrepancy should exist.
* Perform audits on all established quality PPS guidelines and procedures up to and including those daily practices outlined in the Standard Work Instructions.
* Correct and prevent any unsafe action or conditions.
* Daily review and inspection of all completed Daily Forklift Inspection Checklists. Notify Manager to initiate repairs as needed.
* Responsible for the following all established safe loading and unloading guidelines and procedures up to and including those practices outlined in the Employee Playbook.
* Move material and product safely and accurately with various forklifts (i.e. Stand-up and Sit-Down), including loading pallets onto/out of trailers, containers, and warehouse racking. Inbound items must be scanned and moved to designated rack locations.
Qualifications, Skills and Education
Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Minimum of 1+ years of leadership experience
* Minimum 1+ years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Logistics, Inventory Management and/or ERP systems.
* Proficient in operating a computer, calculator, and Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
* Proficient communication, organization, and delegation skills along with the ability to put together an email with detail and professionalism
* Must be able to read, understand and demonstrate all Baseline Quality Procedures, Standard Work Instructions or other related SOPs. Must be able to perform essential job functions without daily supervision
* Working knowledge of operation and minor problem diagnosis of general equipment typically found in warehouse environments.
* Ability to operate a forklift (Stand up-reach & Sit-down)
* Ability to inspect and assess product for basic quality defects.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Forklift certification and/or experience
