The Application Support Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the sub function/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of information.          Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.Job ResponsibilitiesAnalyze failure issues/user issues by reviewing the ticket content, approach the users for details information (if required) , review the log files and identify the root cause / resolution and resolve the issue with the help of runbook details available in bit bucket/bot factory.For any issue that requires code level technical investigation/analyze, create the problem ticket against the L3/Dev Team who has code level accessDeploy the changes using udeploy tool during the green zone as per the instructions given by Dev team in implementation plan/Backout planParticipate in the application annual COB TestCo-ordinate with SA/Platform/Dev teams for help required during any issue investigationParticipating in weekly/ad-hoc calls with dev team arranged for changes discussions/run book walk throughMonitor the application health through ITRS tool & take necessary action on the alertsParticipate in ticket analysis for reduction of tickets/permanent resolution and achieve the same with the help of Dev teamFor any critical issue, participate in a bridge call with relevant stakeholders such as Users, L1 Team, L2 Team, Dev Team, SA Teams , Platform teams etc.Minimum2+ years’ experience in Application/Production Support or equivalent experience in Information Technology / Application Development.Solid experience in SQL / Data Analysis.Experience with Monitoring tools (I.E. ITRS, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.) Fundamentals of Linux/Unix.Experience with any Ticketing Tools (I.E. ServiceNow, JIRA, BMC Remedy, Zendesk, etc.)Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experiencePreferredExperience with Job Scheduling tools (I.E Autosys, CRON, Control-M, etc.) Scripting Skills in (I.E.
