Security Specialist MID
Job Description: The employee shall provide multi-discipline Security Specialists to provide support to the USCENTCOM Special Security Office (CCJ2-SSO) in managing the Command Information Security, Personnel Security, and Physical Security Programs.
Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities: The employee shall brief and train proper command security practices for the Command Security Indoctrination briefings to promote Security Education, Training & Awareness (SETA). The employee shall update local security publications as required, consistent with DoD/DIA guidance. The employee shall provide input into CENTCOM history reports and maintain the SSO webpage. The employee shall identify and analyze security vulnerabilities that affect remedial training in support of the Security Incident Program. The employee shall support the Information Security Working Group, the monthly brief for the CoS and Tasker Management Program.
Qualifications: Minimum 5 Years of related security experience or Associate’s degree with experience working at a COCOM or deployed SSO with two of the following: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (DoD), experience with wireless security and a strong Physical Security background and experience using AMAG and DS CCTV; OR Expertise using JPAS, Scattered Castles, CATS, DISS or equivalent Personnel Security System, SETA program.
Desired Requirements: Experience working Information Security.
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI/POLY
This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SSBI), as well as the favorable completion of a polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
