Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a manager or director and according to established policies and procedures, the Analyst I performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on end user criteria. The Analyst I performs workflow analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation, management and support of assigned application systems and/or projects.  Directly interacts with assigned department managers and senior level staff to provide automation services in support of department’s strategic and operational objectives.  Maintains system specification and technical documentation. On occasion, acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and TGH.  Participates in department and hospital task forces, focus groups and/or committees as assigned by their supervisor to meet the group objectives. Employs intermediate analytical and technical evaluative process; managerial and interpersonal perspectives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
The OpTime Analyst is primarily working to support the needs of the surgical services division, including surgical services nursing, surgeon, anesthesia, and SPD departments in the use and design of Epic.  In addition to Main TGH, this position also supports the Brandon Healthplex ASC and the Morsani ASC.  Further, the ancillary needs outside of surgical services to support quality documentation and regulatory and compliance.  The expanding scope of surgery in the upcoming years with the master facility plan and the expansion outside of TGH require the expertise needed for this position to continue.
• Highschool or GED
• 2 years of information technology / applications experience.
• EPIC Certification strongly preferred.
