ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The Department of Chemistry is a cornerstone of the College of Arts and Sciences, spanning three campuses. It is one of the largest academic units within the University. The Department has diverse faculty and core facility managers and serves more than 3,500 undergraduate majors and more than 120 graduate students. Research strengths include the areas of materials and catalysis, medicinal chemistry and drug discovery, computational chemistry, and chemical education. Access to high field NMR, X-ray crystallography, proteomics, screening and LC/MS instrumentation and high-performance computing is provided through core facilities. The Department is dedicated to developing globally competitive undergraduate, graduate and professional programs as well as expanding its world-class interdisciplinary research portfolio.
DUTIES:
The Research Support Asst position involves working in a chemistry education research laboratory located on the Tampa campus.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Creating databases
• Search relevant chemical literature
• Attending project meetings
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires High School diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience. Higher education may substitute for the experience.
