Join us and make a difference.We are seeking a proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative professional to join the Global Tax Team and take responsibility for the local aspects of federal tax compliance as well as assist with global tax initiatives & transfer pricing, leveraging external experience, best practices, technology and innovation pursuing enhancements to the existing tax function to support continuous and sustainable growth.  This role will be focus on properly managing tax risk, filing accurate returns by avoiding penalties, meeting internal or jurisdictional tax deadlines, addressing an effective tax rate, managing efficiently resources to achieve budget target and liaising global requirements with local regulations. This role will serve as a strategic partner for finance and business teams within the organization, to design and deliver core analytical capabilities that deliver business insights from a tax perspective that drive actionable strategic choices for the Company. Managing locally transfer pricing planning, implementation, compliance, and controversy liaising with Corporate team. The variety and international exposure within the Company provides you a wealth opportunity to demonstrate your ability to add value and advance your career.Position Responsibilities·       Support US Corporate Tax, as required, in tax planning initiatives including strategy development, technical research, preparation of memorandums, and execution guidance.·       Advises as a technical expert on federal tax matters, including transfer pricing and tax reporting.·       Keeps up to date with federal legislative and regulatory tax developments that may impact BMS.·       Partners with U.S. and non-U.S. tax compliance teams to ensure accurate reporting and identify opportunities.·       Acts as advisor of global functions on tax matters.·       Support businesses on potential ways to optimize tax positions, sets up compliance procedures, and communicates frequently with senior business leaders.·       Responds to notices from various tax authorities and interacts directly with them on a regular basis, especially VAT refunds.·       Ensure the accuracy of tax returns, tax provisions and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.·       Develops and maintains a cohesive working knowledge of the domestic and international business operations.·       Coordinate and review the quarterly and annual tax provision under ASC 740 (FAS 109) and FIN48.·       Manage efficiently third-party external professionals addressing budget targets and promote close collaborations with shared services centers within the organization.Liaise across tax, finance, customs, treasury, legal, HR, and with external advisers to ensure compliance with local jurisdictions and assess areas of risk.Maintain and coordinate global transfer pricing policies and calculations including review of profitability templates, transfer pricing studies, Country by Country Reporting, and other local transfer pricing documentation requirements.Develop and implement transfer pricing strategies designed to drive financial statement opportunities or mitigate risk for the Corporation.Manage financial and functional analyses to determine transfer pricing implications of related party transactions including: tangible product transactions, services, royalties, interest, etc.Transfer pricing documentation preparation and implementation in accordance with US, OECD and local rules.Stay abreast of transfer pricing related developments, including OECD issuances as well as local country rules and regulations.Monitor and develop internal controls over income tax reporting processes; ensure SOX compliance in relation to reporting controls by supporting testing and documentation processes.Leverage technology to create effective calculations and financial models to supporting tax returns and provisions, dashboards and analytics.Identifies potential tax issues, performs research, and make recommendations to prevent & resolve tax issues.Mentor and coach staff members internal and external, identifies training needs and create growth opportunities.Main QualificationsAccounting Bachelor degree ideally with Master Degree in Taxes or Finance, CPA or at least post-graduate studies.Proficient in English & Spanish skills (written, reading and speaking).Solid abilities in formerly managing a Tax Department within a Multinational or performing a similar position.Proven experience in corporate and international tax laws (including transfer pricing, tax trends, etc.), technical tax expertise and tax audit management.Experience in a tax in-house position and advise the assigned company as a business partner, having problem-solving demeanor and deep understanding of the business requirements.Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a time sensitive environment.
