The Third Party Risk and Control Officer will join Citi Third Party Risk Management, which is accountable for the end-to-end Third-Party Management program at Citi, covering both external suppliers and inter-affiliate service providers. As part of the program, Citi Third Party Risk Management is executing strategic projects that will enhance Citi’s TPM organization, policy, processes, and tools. Given the size of the “extended enterprise” – i.e., the number of services outsourced to both external and internal (inter-affiliate) third parties across the globe – the aforementioned enhancements will impact thousands of stakeholders at all organizational levels (MDs, Directors, SVPs, VPs) across businesses, regions, and functions. The Third Party Risk and Control Officer will report to the Head of Third Party Risk and Control Assessment  and assist our Third Party Management program as follows:Responsibilities:Review and monitor effectiveness of third party control framework that applies appropriate controls based on the nature of the third party serviceEvaluate the design of controls owned by TPRM to identify control gaps, support design of control enhancements and track actions to resolutionSupport evaluation of implementation of Third Party related controls defined by other risk owners (cyber, processing, compliance, etc.)Contribute to the strategic decisions by providing in-depth and sophisticated analyses to define problems and develop innovative solutionsDevelop subject matter expertise and act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team membersSupport all initiatives for the TPM Change Management & TP-RAP groupsOversee the application of Third Party Management (TPM) Policy and Standards, technology and tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions for minimizing losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks.Resolve TPM Process-level escalations coming from internal partners.Analyze various scorecards/performance management tools to identify areas of risk.Communicate with Senior Managers, Business Stakeholders, multiple lines of Defense, business process owners, and functional areas to build and maintain strong partnerships.Assist with TPM Governance oversight, as well as change management of Policy and Enterprise-Wide Operating Procedures.Drive change and challenge existing processes for improvement.Operate with a limited level of direct supervision and exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.Act as subject matter expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience6+ years of relevant experience in Third Party ManagementSignificant knowledge of Third Party Management processes, risk and controls.In depth knowledge of SharePoint preferred.Ability to organize and prioritize multiple deliverables in a large, global corporate environment.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to articulate complex and sensitive issues to senior management and influence desired outcomes at all levels of an organization.Ability to work and think independently.Intellectual curiosity – ability to master new subject matter, ask good questions and connect the dots across various Policies and functions.Attention to detail with strong emphasis on quality.-------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Risk Management-------------------------------------------------Job Family:Business Risk & Controls------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
