As a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) intern, you will have the opportunity to assist our Customer Success and Services teams in developing solutions to our customers' challenging issues. A successful candidate for this role is a self-starter with a strong interest in technology, has a passion for working collaboratively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Represent Rapid7 in assisting customers with complex technical challenges. Utilize existing systems & processes as efficiency as possible Learn and expand your knowledge of all of our platforms Troubleshoot investigations and identify defects or false positive alerts Create innovative workflows to analyze large log files in order to get to the bottom of any reported issues Perform ad-hoc assistance for additional technical support initiatives and database administration as needed Help drive overall productivity and scale for the technical support team Qualifications: Naturally technical; able to understand technical challenges and concepts Bachelor's degree candidate with prior technical and/or customer service experience Enjoys working with technical equipment and exercising problem solving skills Ability to effectively translate technical engineering jargon Exceptional written and communication skills Self-motivated and accountable; able to take direction and manage prioritization of work Results-oriented and collaborative; able to work independently as well as part of a team Nice to haves: Knowledge of security and vulnerability management Demonstrable command of administering multiple operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS) Previous relevant certifications a plus (AWS, Azure, Google, CompTIA, Microsoft) Understanding of log analysis methods (using regex to debug large log files) Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana or other graphing tools Experience working with API's About Us: Rapid7 (NASDAQ: RPD) helps organizations across the globe protect what matters most so innovation can thrive in an increasingly connected world.
