Role: Sr Data Classification/Privacy Analyst
Responsibilities:
The Data Classification/Privacy Analyst is responsible for:
* Creating, in partnership with other CC team members, and maintaining the data classification policies and procedures within the CCI Catalog and the data security/classification tool.
* Designing and maintaining the technical lineage and taxonomy/properties that support the data classification policies for the curated data.
* Partnering with technical and business teams to select software to support inventory and classification
* Supporting the day-to-day maintenance of the inventory and classification tools. Activities would include administration, upgrading and troubleshooting issues.
Expectations:
As a Data Classification/Data Privacy Analyst, you must be able to drive a collaborative approach to capture and enable understanding of and access to the data classification assets, taxonomy and policies with an objective to drive transparency, literacy, and common language.
In addition, the Metadata Analyst should be able to:
* Work with and adapt approach to colleagues with different viewpoints or perspectives. Able to articulate key points clearly and concisely, listen to understand technical context and the business need
* Take accountability for decisions and commitments made and follow through on actions
* Seek to understand key drivers of success and prioritize activity within own area of responsibility to maximize outcomes
Education/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information / Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Experience/Minimum Requirements
* 5+ plus years of experience in the data management space supporting various data management capabilities. g., data governance, data quality, and master data management.
* 2 plus years of experience with technical metatdata capabilities like inventory and classification activities leveraging tools such as BigID, OneTrust, Manta, or Informatica.
* 2 plus years of experience with SQL programming
* Experience with data discovery, data classification, and data privacy regulations such as CCPA, GDPR, etc.
Other Skills/Attributes:
* Good communication and interpersonal skills - able to articulate and detail key points clearly and concisely, tailor messages per audience, good listener to understand technical context and the need/
* Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Highly self-motivated and service oriented with a cooperative and collaborative mindset.

Working Conditions: This role falls into our remote work model. There is an expectation of collaboration with teammates and stakeholders for moments that matter that could require travel.
