The Business Risk & Control Officer is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within the organization and contributes to the directional strategy by providing oversight and solutions for risk considerations.  Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide and influence others across a myriad of functional partner groups. This position has a significant impact on the risk and control area by managing across complex reviews and deliverables. The work products from this role impacts an entire geography which directly affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the organization. The Business Risk & Control Officer is a member of the TTS NAM In Business Control team (first line of defense) dedicated to drive all regulatory related activities for the United States (US) and to partner with Canada, which together comprise North America (NAM).  This role will also partner with TTS Product, Operations and Technology, Risk and Compliance to drive forward regulatory related projects, issue resolution, impact assessments and action plans as well as support regulatory related audits (both internal and external).  They will identify and establish appropriate tracking tools and dashboards to summarize regulatory related control gaps, etc. to ensure each are remediated according to the required law requirements including appropriate controls to maintain sustainability to the requirements.Responsibilities:The Business Risk & Control Officer will work with key partners across the enterprise to ensure TTS NAM evaluates each regulatory requirement thoroughly, documents the strategy for closing any gaps and ensures we meet all compliance requirements on time and according to budget.This role will be the main liaison to the in-region and global reporting teams for all regulatory related statuses, metrics and Business Risk & Control Reviews (BRCC) updates.Lead and/or support all regulatory related projects and/or issue remediation with our 1st, 2nd and 3rd line partners, while tracking and reporting status to management.Partner with Independent Compliance officers, Legal and our Product and Operations teams to assess new regulatory change notices and document the impacts to our business.Assist the teams to complete their regulatory change actions plans and escalate any barriers.Partner with IBC Product risk colleagues and the TTS MCA leads for US and Canada to ensure the creation and activation of new / enhanced regulatory related ARCMs as required.Review and challenge regulatory related issue and cap language to ensure they are properly scoped, measurable, actionable, realistic and can be delivered in a timely manner and within required compliance dates.Establish and maintain a suite of Regulatory related dashboards that cover the entire regulatory landscape for TTS NAM: inflight projects, open issues and caps, regulation changes, forthcoming compliance dates, and the inventory of mapped regulations mapped to our business.Benefits:This is a key role in our organization with senior visibility and diverse interaction across the TTS, ICG and enterprise risk and compliance organizations.This role provides an opportunity to understand and assess horizontal risk across TTS North AmericaThis role will result in a broad network of relationships across TTS products and understanding of bank risk management.Qualifications:7-10 years relevant work experience in Business Risk & Controls, Compliance or other Global Business environmentStrong project management skillsPrior hands-on experience leading regulatory related projectsAn aptitude to process and interpret complex policy and regulatory languageAn aptitude to challenge conventional thought and drive higher standardsAbility to lead and influence others to accomplish hard goals and tight timelinesWillingness to champion change and question qualityEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially a Master’s degree-------------------------------------------------Job Family Group: Risk Management-------------------------------------------------Job Family:Business Risk & Controls------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Citigroup Inc. and its subsidiaries ("Citi”) invite all qualified interested applicants to apply for career opportunities.
