What you’ll be doing...
The Digital Marketing & Base Management organization is focused on business intelligence, strategic targeting, and opportunity conversion optimization for Verizon (VZ). The Base Management team enables information that will guide customer personalization strategies and decision making across all lines of business, insuring the right opportunities are prioritized and presented to the right customer at the right time, optimized for revenue growth and preservation.
• Working to cultivate a semantic layer,bringing together different data elements from multiple sources.
• Leveraging data to describe who our customers are and what makes them different.
• Wrangling customer engagement into informative and manageable views, as well as design data products (i.e. fact tables, dashboards, reporting) to support our marketing organization.
• Establishing automated controls to notify process owners when their key business metrics change.
• Assisting in the data collection and maintenance of corporate relevant databases to ensure accuracy.
• Driving standardization, efficiency and continuous improvement of data management.
• Performing regular audits to ensure that processes and policies are being followed while checking and recording evidence to demonstrate due diligence.
• Completing risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope.
• Maintaining a detailed schedule of when each audit, check and governance activity needs to take place.
• Ensuring that critical alerts are acknowledged, acted-upon, and resolved.
Where you’ll be working…
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of systems, master data and data architecture to pull data from numerous tables from multiple sources to be merged and analysed.
• Experience in creating and maintaining Teradata SQL.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• A Master’s degree.
• Experience with reporting/analytics tools such as Qlik or Tableau.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Experience in complex cross-functional CRM programs.
• Ability to work independently and own end to end responsibilities for project execution.
• Curious, analytical mind with the ability to identify and assess key business risks and controls.
• Ability to influence business colleagues and work collaboratively across teams.
• Ability to deliver any needed risk and control improvements.
• Ability to lead and deliver change and contribute to culture change successfully.
