Surgical Services Coordinator-Internal medicine
Responsible for direct communication with patients and their families regarding surgery procedures, surgical clearance, pre-operative visits, surgery and post-operative visits. Addresses questions and/or concerns regarding same. Incumbent will adhere to all policies and procedures of both the USFTPG and the Department of Otolaryngology. Must remain professional at all times and use good judgment in performing all duties as described. Must maintain all C.A.R.E. standards set by the USFTPG and Department of Otolaryngology.
Educational Requirements:
•    High School Diploma or equivalent
•    LPN Certification or Certification/Registration as a CMA or RMA through one of the national certifying organizations
•    CPR certification
Experience Requirements :
•    LPN: (3) Years in a similar clinical surgical environment
•    MA: (5) years as an MA with surgery experience
Business Skill Requirements:
•    Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
•    Must be efficient, organized, and professional and be able to function in a very fast paced environment.
•    Experience with general office equipment non limited to computer, Outlook, Right Fax
Preferred Attributes:
•   Otolaryngology clinical/surgical practice, surgery scheduling, understanding of surgical authorizations.
