Our client, a well-known manufacturing firm, is seeking a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. The Accounts Payable Specialist should be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced and rewarding work environment. This position is hybrid, and is located in Tampa FL. Salary/Hourly Rate: $45k - $55k Depending on experience Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist will be joining the dynamic Accounting department, reporting directly to the AP Manager. A personable individual who works well both independently and in a team environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a thriving company and build their career in accounting. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
• Full cycle accounts payable
• High-volume matching, batching, and coding of invoices
• Processing payments via online banking platforms
• Performing payment uploads, ACH, and wires
• Working with lien waivers
• Bank and credit reconciliations
• Journal and adjusting entries and assisting with month-end closing
• Preparing analysis of accounts
• Assisting with expense reports and ad-hoc projects
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
• 1 - 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Intermediate proficient in Excel (formulas, conditional formatting, etc.)
• Experience with Great Plains is helpful but not required
• Detail-oriented and efficient
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Efficient and deadline driven
• Strong work ethic
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred though it is not required
