Our client, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization is looking for a motivated Human Resource Generalist at their Tampa, Florida headquarters. This is a valuable opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join an internationally known organization and support their long-term strategy and growth. Salary/Hourly Rate: $55,000 - $65,000 Position Overview: The Human Resources Generalist is a strategic partner providing a variety of human resources services for a not for profit organization including policies, procedures and practices while ensuring compliance with a strong focus on performance management and employee relations along with other Human Resources responsibilities and activities. The Human Resource Generalist ensues processes and reporting are in accordance with program strategic goals and objectives and comply with local, state and federal law. Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist:
• Partner with all levels of management in Human Resources related matters ensuring consistent, fair and balanced administration of  policies, procedures and practices
• Anticipate HR-related needs
• Provide HR guidance and interpretation to employees and management
• Assist with the recruitment of candidates to fill vacancies in assigned Programs
• Assist in alignment of business objectives with employees and management in assigned Programs
• Handle daily employee relations issues to include: crisis management, employee/manager grievances, investigations, corrective action for assigned Programs
• Monitor performance evaluations process, assist management with writing job descriptions and ensure job descriptions are updated accordingly
• Stay current with regulations, laws, best practices and trends in human resources
• Create and manage human resources metrics/dashboards for assigned Programs
• Conduct or partner with ongoing compliance training, coaching and development for management and employees
• Partner with Training in the identification of required training for employees and reinforcement of training
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment/recruiting process
• Ensure exit interviews are conducted and communicate findings to Director of HR
• Assist with auditing/distribution/communication of projects
• Recommend new approaches and participate in developing department objectives, goals, processes, procedures and systems
• Act as a champion and change agent
• Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications for the Human Resources Generalist:
• Minimum 3 years of progressive Generalist experience
• Multi-state experience preferred
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Strong problem solving ability, organization skills, and time management skills required
• Not for profit or Health Care Human Resource Experience is preferred
Education Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field is required
