THE OPPORTUNITY
The Accountant reports to the Controller and works closely with internal managers and outside vendors.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• The accountant will execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis) in compliance with GAAP
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and ledgers
• Managing income and expenditure accounts
• Financial reporting, preparing supporting schedules and analyzing data
• Partner with department leaders to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences
• Perform other ad-hoc functions as assigned
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Prepare and post journal entries, prepare account reconciliation related to operations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
• CPA preferred
• 5 – 10 years experience in accounting/finance
• Experience working with multiple legal entities
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Month and Year End experience
• Strong problem-solving skills and work ethic
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• Oracle NetSuite knowledge is helpful but not required
