As a Senior Accountant your typical day may involve:
• Executing assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
• Assisting in the development and organization of financial statements, reports, and budget preparation, timely and accurately
• Reviewing and analyzing variances to budget/forecast and to previous reporting periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Preparing monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
• Balancing and maintaining subsidiary accounts by allocating, posting, verifying, and reconciling accounts receivable and payable
• Play an important part in the organization's financial management which involves all record reconciliations and reporting to essential parties
• Working closely with other functional areas and business management to resolve issues and support the achievement of business goals
Job Requirements Requirements:
• 3+ years' experience
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. Certifications (such as CMA or CPA) and public accounting experience (Big 4) will be a bonus
• Profound experience with typical accounting procedures, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process
• Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), financial accounting statements, and business trends.
• Ability to prepare and oversee staff and strong analytical/quantitative skills٫ with accuracy and attention to detail
• Adequate experience with accounting software packages and MS Office; Excel, Word, Access, etc.
