What you’ll be doing...
The Orchestration Operations team works in the exciting and growing Verizon Cloud Platform space and focuses on automation and operational support of multiple internal, cloud-based apps (ECM, Netcool, and Optimus) with an emphasis on zero-touch automation and CICD deployments. These platforms are used to automate the deployment, monitoring, & lifecycle management of Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) across Verizon Cloud Platforms (VCP) in the U.S. and internationally, as well as public cloud infrastructure in support of internal Network and our Enterprise customers.
• Providing insight into VNOE Orchestration tool operations requirements while partnering with Verizon teams and vendors to develop long-term technology strategy, roadmap and planning.
• Supporting the ECM (Ericsson Cloud Manager) orchestration platform toolchain deployed in multiple VZ labs and production.
• Providing support to Service Assurance and closed loop automation platforms used to monitor and manage orchestrated VNFs/CNF (Virtualized Network Functions/Cloud-Native Network Functions) for Verizon infrastructure.
• Collaborating with Planning, Maintenance Engineering, and application teams towards operationalization and management of VSOP (Verizon Service Orchestration Platform) toolchain in the labs and production.
• Detecting potential problems and engaging with the team to address issues and lead the discussion to a solution.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation and project plans.
• Aligning with leadership direction on strategic and cost factors and translate that into technical direction and action.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel.
• Experience in Cloud architecture ,Verizon's VCP or "public" cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Firewall, and IP routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, L3 VPN).
• Experience writing technical features and user stories to capture business requirements.
• Experience in RedHat Linux, Openstack, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in Git, Jira and Confluence.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• A degree.
• Experience in troubleshooting issues, especially those related to cloud-based applications and deployments.
• Knowledge of application (design/architecture, security, networking).
• Knowledge of Verizon Cloud Platform architecture.
• Knowledge of scripting languages to create automated scripts (Python, shell, bash).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
