The Systems Administrator IV will perform architecture, implementation, administration, configuration, monitoring, updating and documentation of assigned enterprise servers. The Systems Administrator's responsibilities also entail application/OS upgrades, performance tuning, problem resolution, storage administration, security administration, capacity planning, policy administration, change management, disaster recovery, backup planning and systems analysis. The Systems Administrator should demonstrate the ability to assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the company's server operation and make recommendations for implementation. The Systems Administrator will demonstrate expertise in front and back-end system technologies in enterprise environments and display common knowledge of best-practices in many different server technologies. The Systems Administrator will serve as primary contact for Application Owners of key systems.

Role qualifications:
• 8-10 years of experience working with Linux and Windows server technologies in a 24 X 7 product environment
• Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in work experience
• Extensive experience developing automated processes using Ansible
• Strong experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python
• Experience with scheduling software, prefer Tidal
• Experience with monitoring and alerting products like Solarwinds, Big Brother, NewRelic, Pingdom
• Server Software/OS build and patch maintenance
• Experience with creating Docker Images
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with Git
• Experience with server hardware and management tools.
• Expert knowledge of Linux and Unix operating system including RedHat
• Knowledge with Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Apps
• RedHat or other Linux Certification
• AWS Solution Architect Certification or equivalent
• Familiarity with VMware, vCenter, and related hypervisor technologies
What you will be doing:
• Unix and Windows Server administration and documentation
• Plan and leads projects to completion with minimal oversight
• Architect, upgrade, patch, and support applications such as Splunk, Atlassian suite, and Tidal jobs scheduler.
• Develop and support back-end server technologies in local and remote locations
• Standardizes Server systems deployment and configuration using central deployment technologies
• Assists peer technicians in troubleshooting and repairing of server technologies
• Schedule, communicate and manage change control in an enterprise which supports/effects multiple hardware and software platforms.
• Provide and support systems management in an environment requiring availability of 99.9 %.
• Responsible for trouble-shooting different software and hardware issues and documenting the results.
• Support communications protocol servers for Linux/Windows.
• Perform and document disaster recovery processes for applications
• Installs, configures, and tests different product sets on Linux and Windows operating Systems.
• Works directly with customer representative to obtain and refine functional and technical requirements.
• Develops automation for installation and configuration of server applications using requirements obtained from development and application teams.
• Develops, performs, and troubleshoots monthly patching processes
• Creates repetitive processes and procedures to help with O/S and other hardware/software installations, software/hardware related troubleshooting, security, and performance testing.
• Satisfies requirements, meets agreed to completion date, and performs unit and integration tests for products developed.
• Create and maintain base Docker images for development teams
• Configure and deploy applications on Kubernetes
• Supports servers during off-hours via rotating on-call
