We heard you knock!Special project for the internship in the Merchandising and Events Marketing Organization The Visual Merchandising and Events marketing intern will be assigned a special project, based on interests or specialty, to be completed along with other smaller projects and learning opportunities during the eleven-week summer program.  Learning outcomes for the internship in the Marketing Organization The Visual Merchandising and Events marketing intern will assist the channel team with floor plan designs, project management, design tasks for digital, print, and experiential experiences that draw attention and drive sales including but not limited to tradeshows, showrooms, displays, distributor and dealer communications, collateral materials, swag, and giveaways. Summer internship program encompasses: Sourcing, managing and distribution of assets for all tradeshows and channel partners Partner with third party agencies to develop new creative concepting and visual merchandising strategies for displays and graphics Shadowing and participating with members of the channel and creative teams across all disciplines in various stages of the process Participation in special projects Development of personal and professional skills through training, networking, and mentoring relationships Develop skills and learnings not otherwise addressed in academic programs Discover and unlock their passion and potential as a marketer Final presentation of project findings to members of the Masonite Marketing Leadership Team (MMLT)  Leadership Relationships: Sr. Manager, Merchandising and Events  Channel Marketing Director Internal and external creative, project and product teams   Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Collaborate with and learn from members of the channel and sales team Own and execute assigned projects Minimum Qualifications and Experience Requirements: Currently enrolled in a university at the Junior or Senior level Major: Graphic Design, Fine Art, Visual Communications-related field Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite and other design applications a plus Strong Interpersonal Communication and Problem-Solving Skills Portfolio or sketch book required for consideration Open to extraordinary!
