Job Description
STV is a multidiscipline engineering/architectural consulting and construction management company. STV's Construction Management Division is a nationwide practice that provides a distinctive range of expertise to clients in both the public and private sectors. Our varied services encompass program, project and construction management, as well as project controls, purchasing and contracting, and fiscal stewardship. Our portfolio within the Construction Management Division includes public works, healthcare, research , commercial, industrial, educational, judicial, institutional, transportation and aviation market sectors.
STV is hiring a C onstruction Manager to work for the Construction Management division. on a Fortune 100 company project.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Review of Subcontractor scopes of work as part of buyout process, as assigned.
• Assist with project pre-planning and development of CPM schedules.
• Participate in project start-up meetings and Pre-construction Conferences.
• Evaluate project team's construction methods, techniques, and phasing used to build the project.
• Assist in identifying, developing a plan for, and resolving issues as they arise during construction.
• Assist with CPM schedule updates and sequencing including submittal status, material tracking and delivery, and production analysis. Assist with development of trade specific tracking as required.
• Responsible for Quality Control implementation and documentation on the project for adherence to the Project's policies and contract requirements.
• Assist project team with scope review of change management and schedule impacts as well as development of fragments and/or major CPM schedule modifications.
• Assist with handling of subcontractor claims and back charges.
• Organize and conduct monthly meetings for the superintendents on the Project to address safety and operational best practices.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with all Project parties.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive construction management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience with design and construction phase management.
• Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner.
