A&B Insurance and Financial is building a team of top talents who can grow fast into senior leadership. We are seeking a Finance Intern to assist and learn from our Directors of Finance. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience on the business side of a fast-paced company. Our ideal candidate has to have experience in finance and accounting and is eager to learn, work collaboratively with others, and possesses a keen attention to detail. Intern will flexibly work for up to five days per week under the supervision of a staff member in the department to which they are assigned. Under the overall guidance of the Director of Finance and direct supervision of an Accounting officer, the incumbent will perform the following functions:
• Manage accounting schedules, and prepare and enter weekly closing entries including allocation of costs and recognition of revenue.
• Acquiring, processing and registering customer invoices using various accounting software and systems.
• Assist the directors of finance to: Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using computerized bookkeeping system.
• Post journal entries into Quickbooks and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare various payments schedules such as vendor payment, utility, VAT and withholding tax and other bills.
• Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports as required.

To qualify for this internship, the following conditions must be met:
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Aptitude for numbers.
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
• Data entry and word processing skills.
