Accounts Receivable Specialist

In this role, you are given the opportunity to work with outgoing team members in an exciting company culture. To qualify, you must possess at least 2 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role. This is a CONTRACT-TO- HIRE job. You will earn between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour , depending on your level of previous experience. You will also be able to sign up for LHH's benefits programs during the time of the contract portion of this position.
Responsibilities:
• Preparing monthly billing statements for mail delivery
• Post cash receipts to customer accounts based on information form lock box reports and cash receipts at local office
• Make daily electronic bank deposits
• Research customer inquiries related to billing concerns and misapplied payments for residential and commercial customers
• Process payments via credit card from delinquent customers and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary
• Following standard operating procedures, contact customers via phone and email to bring accounts to a current status
• Records and takes action on customer credit card chargeback disputes
• Review the customer accounts receivable aging report daily and take action to reduce aged account balances
Qualifications:
• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable and collections
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required
Compensation:
• Hourly rate between $18.00 and $20.00, depending on your level of previous experience
