Job Summary:
The Mobility Tax Analyst II is responsible for assisting with the organization's global mobility tax functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organizations global mobility tax processes, reporting, compliance, and initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Collect, maintain, and report on international assignment data
• Assess market practices and implement appropriate policies and services to mitigate and manage the organization tax exposure, tax risk, and assets through recovery efforts
• Oversee and manage the timely and accurate global mobility taxable wages and tax liability computations with Finance and 3 rd Party service provider
• Ensure timely, complete, and accurate payroll processing of mobility tax payments and year-end wage reporting statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Give guidance on Global Mobility policies and related HR processes and guidelines
• Initiate Global Mobility services through vendors (tax provider, data provider) and partner with vendors on case management as needed
• Generate wage reporting for monthly tax calculations
• Report and share PIT actuals to regional finance teams; review accrual estimates to actuals to ensure actual rates captured accurately
• Create shared resources, including project plans, checklists, knowledge databases, and standard operating procedures
• Assist to validate vendor/3 rd Party service providers deadlines, invoicing, and deliverables
• Assist with international assignment expense management, including processing vendor invoices
• Keep information on company information systems up to date (intranet, shared drives)
• Contribute to HRIS projects and perform timely audits of employee data to ensure accuracy
• Assist with preparation and implementation of strategic projects that move forward Global Mobility's long-term goals and objectives
• Support learning for Country HR teams and the Global recruitment team (resource managers, immigration)
• Proactively identifies issues and make recommendations to improve Global Mobility processes and workflow to increase department's efficiency and effectiveness
• Provide support to the Global Compensation and Benefits team as needed
• Travel may be required
• May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization's core values.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
• HS Diploma, or equivalent
• 5+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
• Working knowledge of international expatriate tax matters, understanding of basic accounting chargeback, corporate income tax, and permanent establishment issues impacting mobility matters
• Success balancing priorities of strategic, technical, and administrative nature
• English proficiency required
Desired Characteristics:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or other related field strongly preferred
• Experience in projects related to continuous improvement
• Strong knowledge and understanding of taxes and tax registrations
• Experience with managing 3 rd party service providers in various global locations
• Ability to research complex projects and provide clear written and verbal communication to various levels of management.
• Ability to interact and adapt quickly in a variety of international environments and settings.
