Join us and make a difference.General DescriptionThis role supports the Senior Finance Manager responsible for providing global financial, accounting and key decision support to the Worldwide Commercialization Strategy & Capabilities organization (WWCSC).  Responsibilities also include Congress attendee budget management and Celgene Integration activities.The Finance Manager will have proven experience successfully collaborating across an organization, be inquisitive with a strong willingness to learn, and be passionate about contributing to the success of the organization. Detailed Position ResponsibilitiesRole ActivitiesPartner with Senior Finance Manager and some business leaders to help drive business performance.  Role assists in the management of approximately $200 million in global spend.Support Senior Finance Manager and Commercial leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and resource allocationTrack, analyze and understand brand investment, financial risks and opportunitiesSupports monthly and quarterly financial close, including the development and issuance of reports and analyses focusing on comparison of results to budget, understanding key variances and meeting regularly with business partners to review results (i.e., presentations for Senior Management)Support financial stewardship to clients on financial and/or accounting matters, partnering with Technical Accounting, Business Controls, etc.Supports the Senior Finance Manager to develop and analyze the annual Budget and quarterly Projections, including smart budgeting and product allocation support and the development of  PP presentations to facilitate senior leadership business reviews.Support finance processes by actively coordinating with matrix and corporate finance stakeholders (Commercial HQ, Tax, Business Controls, Treasury, etc.)Responsible for supporting the financial planning processes including development of timelines, reviews, deliverables, etc.Supports Global Procurement on Value Capture initiatives including validating, tracking and reporting third-party synergiesSupport the product allocation methodology and Smart Budgeting requirements and reporting (inclusive of Insight Packages & Resource Allocation view)Prepare departmental financial spend reports; perform variance analysisConsolidate financial information for Congress attendees; track against latest Budget/Projection; prepare analyses and closely partner with Congress Managers.RPM analysis and administration (assist in system tie-out; communicate with budget coordinators; approve and track product plans and fund transfers)Other ResponsibilitiesAssist in support of integration activitiesDevelop and prepare quarterly contractor analysesAssist in the research of various HR related employment expensesPartner with People Services on employee transfersPerform balance sheet reviews of organizationsPrepare journal entries and review monthly automatic accrualsDesired ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred5 years experience in accounting and/or financeStrong working knowledge of SAP or similar ledger system, RPM and Hyperion preferred, with the ability to work with large data-setsMust have the ability to manage multiple tasks, be well organized, and have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding expectationsSelf-starter (highly proactive), highly motivated, and have proven success in operating in situations of ambiguityHighest level of integrity, work ethic and financial stewardshipAbility to work in a fast paced environment often with aggressive deadlines and quick turnaroundsHigh level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint requiredAround the world, we are passionate about making an impact on the lives of patients with serious diseases.
