ER EMT-Intermediate or Paramedic – Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital (FT, Evening Shift)
Job Description:
Under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner, manager and/or nursing professional, in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing delegation and supervision guidelines, the Emergency Room EMT-I/P assists with a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities. These include assistance with activities of daily living, comfort care and nutritional support, and performance of selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks and procedures as directed. Indirect patient care activities include maintaining a clean safe environment, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies and equipment, and data collection as pertinent to the patient population.
