About the Group:
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) within Independent Risk Management is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the principles articulated in Citi's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and for specific enterprise-level risk management programs and processes that span the organization, the lines of defense and various risk categories. These include risk identification, enterprise risk analytics, risk appetite & limits, new activity risk management, risk frameworks & policy, strategic risk, digital assets risk and climate risk. The group is headed by the Head of ERM who reports directly to the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
About the Team:
As part of ERM, the Risk Appetite & Limits team is responsible for designing and driving enhancements to strengthen the firm's approach to risk appetite and limits. The team's book of work is constructed to deliver a clearly articulated risk appetite that is connected to firm-wide processes, cascaded within firm and that is supported by metrics, limits and assessments that ensure a risk profile that is consistent with the firm's defined risk appetite. The team is led by the Head of Risk Appetite & Limits who reports to the Head of ERM.
About the Role:
The current opening is for a Director on the Risk Appetite & Limits team, primarily focused on delivering against transformation commitments associated with the firm's limit & threshold management, and on-going framework and governance enhancements inclusive of concentration risk management The role will report to the Enterprise Limit & Concentration Risk Management Head who reports to the Head of Risk Appetite & Limits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive enhancements to the firm's approach to limit & threshold management that reflect industry-leading practices and act as a subject matter expert for senior leadership across the firm; this includes how limits & thresholds are
* Established, reviewed and challenged by ERM SMEs for concentration and/or enterprise risk implications as required
* Monitored and discussed at existing or new limit & threshold management forums;
* Escalated to the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership across the lines of defense; and
* Governed through new and/or enhanced policy, standards, procedures and controls
* Engage senior management across the firm to socialize program enhancements and attend various senior-level risk committees to advance the implementation of those enhancements
* Drive end-to-end lifecycle for key program artifacts, which includes content creation, stakeholder dialogue and oversight of various review and challenge processes
* Lead and develop a high-performing and diverse team to manage existing processes, program enhancements and a variety of high profile, ad hoc projects
* Lead regulatory and audit reviews at various locations

The candidate will have organizational exposure to senior management and subject matter experts across businesses and functions, including the Citigroup CRO and their leadership team.
Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with risk management experience setting and approving limits and/or leading concentration and/or portfolio risk assessment and management efforts
* Proven experience in driving strategic, firmwide initiatives, including building stakeholder relationships and influencing / negotiating to achieve outcomes
* Good understanding of regulatory expectations and industry practices in limit management and/or concentration risk management and/or related areas
* Disciplined approach to execution, focused on making decisions that propel the project forward and avoid negative surprises
* Ability to synthesize complex concepts and effectively persuade senior audiences, orally and in writing
* Ability to lead and manage a growing team, including teams that are dispersed across different locations
