Serves as a senior compliance risk officer for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes related to monitoring and fostering awareness of sanctions regulatory requirements that Citi must comply with; assessing related sanctions risk exposure captured during KYC and other due diligence processes; overseeing the quality of escalations and advisements completed by the Client Risk Management team. Senior compliance risk officer also serve as a central point of contact to engage across Financial Crimes Compliance, the business, and functions to implement sanctions KYC enhancements and resolve sanctions risks.Responsibilities:Senior team member to take on a leadership role in managing day to day responsibilities of the Client Risk Management team.Assist with driving future Sanctions KYC enhancements from a policy, process, and technology standpoint.Assist with drafting/revising procedures related to Sanctions KYC implementations and enhancements. Analyzing data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to client's sanctions risk identified through Citi's Know Your Customer and other due diligence processes.Providing input on new business initiatives.Partnering with functional partners, as applicable, to ensure potential risks are appropriately vetted and addressed. Identifying and escalating to the Chief Sanctions Officer material risks and significant instances of not adherence to the Framework by accountable front line units.Monitoring adherence to Citi’s Global Sanctions Policy and relevant procedures; staying current on key Sanctions regulatory changes, key enforcement actions and related industry trends.Overseeing adherence to procedures and processes, to ensure compliance with policies ensuring that front line units meet required standards.
