Job Description Overview: Going Twice is an upscale home furnishing consignment store located in Mooresville, NC.  We specialize in the consignment and resale of gently-used and new mid-to-high end home furnishings including furniture, artwork, area rugs, lighting, and home décor.
Position Summary: The Going Twice Sales Specialist is responsible for engaging all customers in a manner that helps them build trust in the company, moving and merchandising incoming items for sale, maintaining store and inventory cleanliness and processing sales transactions in person and via telephone.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
·       Greet and build rapport with all customers
·       Move both furniture and home accessory inventory in the store to create pleasing and sellable vignette displays
·       Perform daily cleaning chores; keep the store organized and safe
·       Answer the telephone and respond to Customer and Consignor questions both in person and via phone
·       Process sales at the cash register and accept multiple forms of payment

·       Evident enthusiasm for furniture and or home décor and decorating
·       Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
·       An eye for quality and a working knowledge of some furniture brands

Essential Functions (Physical Demands):
You will be expected to perform all essential functions of the position.  These include lifting up to 30# unassisted and up to 150# with assistance, standing and walking for up to 5 consecutive hours, climbing to the third level of a 3-step step ladder, reading and writing on paper and a computer, bending, stooping and reaching frequently throughout a shift.
Typical Work Schedule (hours will vary inside these windows):
Monday – Friday 10:00am – 7:00pm
Saturday 10:00am – 6:00pm
Sunday 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Sales Specialist Detailed Job Responsibilities:
The Sales Specialist will be responsible to perform the following tasks on a daily basis:
·       Greet customers and others who arrive at the store
·       Build rapport with and make natural conversation with customers, leading the conversation to the products we sell and services we offer
·       Answer the telephone promptly, answering questions
·       Scheduling appointments using Google Calendar
·       Tender Cash, Credit Card and Personal Check sales with accuracy using a POS system
·       Wrap and bag purchased merchandise
·       Assist customers to the curb with purchases as needed
·       Perform routine cleaning tasks in the store and for the merchandise
Hang artwork at heights up to 8’ using a step ladder
