TalentBridge is partnered with a global manufacturer and Industry leader in the Charlotte market.  We are actively looking for an experienced Paint Process Engineer with previous hands-on knowledge supporting  and selection of automated paint systems for tier 1 Class A body panels and components for diverse market applications.  If you are interested in taking that next step into operational and Department Management, this may be exactly what you have been waiting to for locally.
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for driving department activities, including quality, maintenance, and personnel. This role will have responsibilities and input in the purchase and installation of new equipment, EPA, OSHA and IATF16949 and ISO14001 compliance, department safety, and the overall paint department operations and performance.
Essential Job Functions:
• Implementing of new Production & Paint Manufacturing lines
• Class A Paint Process knowledge required
• Installation of new equipment
• Monitor and direct use and maintenance of equipment
• Supervise department employees
• Conduct meetings with outside contractors and vendors
• Oversee and evaluate paint department activities
• Safety, EPA, OSHA, IATF 16949 and ISO14001 compliance
• Approve all department purchases and expenditures
• Monitor and direct department education and training
Qualifications:
• BS degree or equivalent and 5 years of manufacturing experience in the paint process area.
• Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry is strongly preferred.
• Class A experience ideally in Plastics or Composites preferred.
