Position Description - Supply Chain Coordinator, Transportation
At Fanatics Brands, our Supply Chain is vital to getting the right product to the right customer at the right time to support their celebration of their teams win. Our 3rd Party Operations group is charged with matching the right inventory of raw materials to the right production capacity to meet customer demand. We identify financial successes and opportunities, and then create detailed growth plans to reach and exceed our company goals. We look to identify the most cost effective and efficient ways of moving goods through our network by developing innovative and strategic logistics models. Just as Fanatics continues to rapidly grow, we encourage our team members to do the same by supporting continued education and offering internal career advancement in various areas of our Supply Chain.
The primary responsibilities of the Supply Chain Coordinator is to coordinate and execute activities relating to the movement of goods within the US market place and into the US and Canada from Foreign Origins. This process includes forecasting volume, understanding freight market conditions, and the distribution of finished goods. This position supports the movement of both raw materials and finished goods into the US and throughout the domestic 3rd Party Printing network.
The successful candidate must be a self-motivated, detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. Being able to adapt to constant change in business requirements and also work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints is also critical to success. The Coordinator will deal with ambiguous problems, work with product teams on finding solutions, and drive towards simple solutions to complex problems. The Coordinator will also be the Subject Matter Expert in domestic and international transportation modes, who dives deep to understand the underlying issues in our supply chain to help the business solve transit and cost control issues.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and execute the movement of goods within the US, within Canada and into the US and Canada from Foreign Origins. This includes building relationships with freight forwarders, carriers, and trucking companies.
* Responsible for facilitating freight bookings between foreign suppliers and forwarders.
* Daily responsibility for tendering out domestic freight.
* Work cross functionally with teams in planning, customer service, allocations, sourcing, and operations to ensure we deliver product on time and to the quality our fans expect.
* Build a strong partnership with the Fanatics Sourcing Hubs in Hong Kong and Honduras.
* Supports the timely transportation needs of our Onsite Teams during a HOT Market.
* Work closely with teams to ensure we are flowing raw materials in timely manners to domestic 3rd Party Printers.
* Coordinate the delivery of finished goods out of 3rd Party Printers and into Fanatics DC's or direct to customers.
* Collaborate with transportation partners to develop the best logistics solutions for Fanatics.
* Drive reporting to key parties internally and externally and in a timely fashion
* Oversee consolidation activities in foreign origins and support the deconsolidation functions in the US.
* Support the distribution of product form multiple warehouses.
* Assist in the development of metrics that drive efficiency and control spend.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in domestic transportation and/or import/export logistics
* Functional experience using a TMS
* Experience in retail distribution and logistics preferred
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* Proven ability to work autonomously
* Excellent organizational skills
* Excellent multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
* Strong knowledge and understanding of major sports league special events
* Good oral and written communication skills
* Good understanding of manufacturing and distribution of goods
* Strong computer skills (Microsoft, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
