Job Description
Accountants, working with Vaco gives you an advantage over your competition through relationships with the human resources manager and hiring managers directly. We are currently looking to fill our client's Accountant position and we want to hear from you! Think of us as an advocate who will promote your strengths and prepare you for your interviews supplying you with key info on our client.
Accountant responsibilities:
• Reconciling the company's bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, preparing profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Assists in the maintenance of documentation, journal entries, reconciliations, account analysis, and other procedures.
• Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
Job Requirements Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance
• Experience with general ledger accounting
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills.
