Lead IT Embedded Risk/Audit Specialist
Full-time, Onsite 20%
Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL, Jersey City, NJ, or Boston, MA

Our client, a global leader in the Financial Services industry, is seeking a Lead IT Embedded Risk/Audit Specialist. Working inside of designated IT Departments, the IT Embedded Risk Specialist will participate in tasks and projects from inception to completion, build relationships with IT and Business partners, and project managers while recommending process solutions and approaches that tackle the problems. Through their embedded risk analysis projects inside their assigned department of the IT organization, they will identify potential design & controls issues, and create documentation/reports around their concerns. Embedded Risk Specialist will support and help coordinate activities across the department to drive process improvement. Possess excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain our technical concepts and solutions in accessible terms to partners.
Must Have:
• 2 to 4 years of IT experience with proven expertise executing the IT audit or IT Compliance lifecycle
• Minimum 1 year experience in software development or equivalent experience (could be college classes)
• 4 Year college degree, ideally in computer science or something related
• Experience evaluating system design and analysis and working with Agile development teams
• Project Management experience to include experience solving problems and producing recommendations
Nice to Have/Soft Skills:
• Experience with auditing applications supporting risk management processes (e.g., VaR, Sybase) is a plus
• Capability to read and write program languages (e.g., Python, Java, SQL) is a plus
• Proficiency in auditing cyber security and infrastructure components
• Financial services background

Candidates should reside in the Dallas, Tampa, Boston, or Manhattan area and be prepared to commute to the office 1-2 days per week. As this employer supports the financial services industry, you must be able to successfully pass a strenuous background check process. You should have experience working in a large corporate environment, FinServ experience would be very helpful to understand the regulatory aspects of the job.
