Why it’s worth it: The Director, IT Engineering and Operations will report to the CIO as a member of the ReliaQuest IT team.  This individual will collaborate with multiple departments across the ReliaQuest organization to support the overall mission of ReliaQuest operations.  ReliaQuest is a fast-paced technology company and adaptability, flexibility, accountability, and helpfulness is a must.   Supervise managers and senior managers from multiple IT disciplines.  Further develops the skillsets of their direct reports and looks for opportunities to keep them actively engaged and motivated.  Acts in a self-directed manner; takes action before being directed by others or forced by events. Seizes opportunities and is proactive in avoiding potential problems. Leads by example. Takes personal responsibility and acts as an integrated member of the team. Excellent communication and customer skills a must.Overall scope of responsibility includes our corporate, data center and cloud environments as well as the teams that support them. The candidate must possess strong leadership skills as well as be proficient in network, systems, security, AWS architecture, and end user support.  This individual will be well organized with the ability to manage and maintain multiple projects from both a technical and a management perspective.  Experience with network/systems/security design and best practices across multiple environments is required. The everyday hustle:Oversee a global team of Network Engineers, System Engineers, Cloud Engineers, IT Engineers (Service Desk), and Security Engineers including DevSecOps across multiple office locations, geographies, and time zonesManage the architecture and operational support of network, systems, and security infrastructure on-premises and in cloud environmentsCultivate and manage cross-functional relationships with the product team including Development, DevOps, and Product managementLead change management as well as the architectural review process for all new technologies and internal development of large-scale cloud-based applicationsEnsure all cloud, network, systems, and security infrastructure meet high availability standards to minimize and prevent service outagesDrive cloud automation to minimize the deployment time of new services, infrastructure, and geographic regionsDrive a service-oriented mindset across teamEnsure an action and improvement-oriented Service Desk/ End User support organizationAssess requirements, research, recommend, and design vital solutions/tools to enhance productivity, security, and cost-effectiveness of technologiesResponsible for planning and preparing annual service desk, network, systems, and security team budgetsProvides incident and problem management support for all Enterprise IT solutions; updates, monitors, and enforces SLA and KPI requirements to include a 99% met on response and resolution SLAsDo you have what it takes? Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experienceMinimum 10 years working in a Network and/or Systems Engineer capacityMinimum 7 years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing networks and/or systemsMinimum 5 years working in an IT management roleMinimum 3 years AWS experienceSecurity experience, particularly application security (DevSecOps) experience preferredExperience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and server management (Windows, Linux, etc.) preferredExperience with Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, F5 and AWS suite of products preferredFamiliar with Windows and MAC enterprise OS environmentsExperience with customer service and enterprise level service managementExperience with project management techniques and proceduresProven leadership experience with high performing teams
