This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.The Sr Associate Software Engineer position provides a unique opportunity to work as part of a fun and innovative engineering team at the Amgen’s latest world class facility, located in Tampa Florida. We use many of the cutting edge open-source software, frameworks, tools, and cloud computing services within the platforms to build next generation capabilities and services in Data Management, Data Analytics, Search, NLP and AI.Key Responsibilities :Design and development of web-based applications.Collaborate with lead architect, Business SME’s, and Data Scientists to design and develop solutionsServe as lead engineer for technical implementation of projects including planning, design, development, and testing in Agile environment.Responsible for assisting in defining and implementing project and technical road maps that align with the product strategyPartner with IS and business stakeholders to ensure that the solution is an appropriate fit for the end usersResearch and evaluate various web application development platformsMaintain knowledge of market trends and developments in web application development frameworks and related and emerging technologies to provide, recommend, and deliver best practice solutionsWinWhat we expect of youWe are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The outstanding professional we seek is a candidate with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications:Master’s degreeOrBachelor’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experienceOrAssociate’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experienceOrHigh school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems experiencePreferred Qualifications:BS or MS in computer science or related field1+ years of experience with web application development projectsHands on expertise using Python, React.JS, JavaScript, or GraphQLExperience building and using JSON-based RESTful APIsExperience developing dynamic and data-driven web applications/sitesHands on experience using Linux/UnixExperience using search engines like Solr or Elasticsearch as the back-end for web applications is a plusPrevious experience with AWS technologies is a plusGood understanding of software development, DevOps, Unit testing, Automated testing, GitLab, Continuous Integration (Jenkins), and Continuous Deployment (Docker and Kubernetes)Experience creating web application wireframes and mockups.
