Full Job Description Position Summary The successful applicant will use both in-house and external research to identify the best mix of media channels to deliver impactful advertising messages and company communication. This position is directly responsible for planning, negotiating, and buying media to support the strategic goals of the marketing department. This candidate will work directly with the marketing director and operations to align with the company objectives. Core Duties and Responsibilities Work with the leadership team to develop strategic media goals and to develop annual & go-to-market media plans to achieve company marketing objectives. Implementation of paid integrated advertising campaigns for both traditional and digital media. (TV, Print, OOH, Digital, Social, Google Search, OTT, etc..). Negotiate rates and cultivate relationships with a variety of outdoor and fishing TV shows, Magazines, Radio shows and online media outlets. Work with Marketing Ops to analyze and manage contracts with major tournament trails/media packages. Analyze ongoing campaign data and implement timely optimizations. Analyzing and researching the target audience’s character, purchasing and media habits and present findings to leadership. Research, analyze, and manage digital media campaigns and put together media reports to illustrate the effectiveness of marketing spend. Work with IT/ web dev team to optimize manage and implement digital advertising campaigns integrated into our Magento E-Commerce platform. Manage in-platform campaign activity across paid social and paid digital accounts, including campaign setup and ongoing maintenance/optimization. Work with and maintain relationships with industry partners such as, publishers, media vendors and agencies. Obtain the best advertising rates that fit with the media strategy. Advising the creative teams and leadership about the most effective combination of media and guidelines for successful placement. Prepare competitive data overview, analysis, and presentation. Monitoring and updating clients on the effectiveness of campaigns. Routine administrative account maintenance, to verify we are receiving all contracted media. Requirements Qualifications Ability to analyze complex data including audiences, market & sales, media mix and competitive reporting. Proficient in managing in-house financial budgeting for annual media spend. An interest and passion in analyzing your campaigns and pushing for best outcome. Proficiency in all forms of traditional media, a deep expertise in digital media. Aware of media trends for business and commerce in the relevant markets. Resourceful and creative, able to recognize good media opportunities and the ability to develop new ideas/concepts. Excellent negotiator and good interpersonal skills. Persuasive and diplomatic. Able to work alongside a range of people and as an integral part of a team. Good presenter with good written and spoken communication skills. Working knowledge of media research tools and software Proficiency with MS office, especially Excel Able to perform in a very fast-paced environment and concurrently manage multiple projects/deadlines. Educational/Experience Requirements Minimum 4 year of media planning and buying and/or relevant advertising industry experience is desired. Experience in the outdoor/fishing industry is a plus! Working Hours - Monday through Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM
