FOUNDATION FINANCE ASSISTANT Administrative & Clerical Support Hours: M-W in office, Th-F remote Day Shift - Full Time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: NE N22 - 19.6500 - 24.6500
Hybrid role in the state of FL Foundation Finance Assistant Position Highlights: Performs a variety of accounting and administrative duties related to the payment and receipt of money; computes, classifies, and records transactions; processing them to be entered into the Raiser#s Edge database system. Checks transactions to locate and resolve discrepancies. Also serves as administrative support for the Manager Finance Philanthropic Fund Management, requiring a high degree of competence, skill and independence of action. The Foundation Finance Assistant will need to be a competent bookkeeper, an excellent communicator, organized and efficient, have great attention to detail. # Select Responsibilities: Process all payments, review all cash collections and departmental cash reports for accuracy, reasonableness, and proper distribution to funds. Prepare all deposits from lockbox donations and checks received. Ensure that all receipts including credit cards are deposited the same day when possible. Establish and maintain a working relationship with representative from the bank Maintains financial records by record keeping, adjusting, reconciling, and computing figures to assure accurate record keeping. Prepares batch entry forms using established procedures Assists in handling money transactions at special outside events Responsible for Foundation purchasing efforts. Assist Foundation staff in obtaining bids for products and services and setting up new vendors as needed. Follow purchasing procedures as set forth by Foundation and Moffitt Policies and Procedures. Verifying the accuracy and completeness of supplier invoices and contracts before making payments. Actively participate in the annual and monthly budgeting process for the project, ensuring proper administration of the office budget Process KRONOS payroll Independently prepare letters, reports and documents, including confidential information. Offer support in the preparation of annual and quarterly audit documents # Credentials and Qualifications: Bachelor#s Degree within Business, Accounting, Finance or other relevant field. At least three (3) years of progressive professional administrative experience in office management, accounting, finance and budgeting.# Advance knowledge of financial bookkeeping and accounting (GAAP) principles; office procedures and practices is required. -########## OR -# * Associate#s degree with an additional two (2) years of experience in business, finance operations or foundation experience plus the three (3) years (for a total of 5 years) experience may be considered #in lieu# of a Bachelor#s degree. -########## OR -# *High School diploma with an additional four (4) years of experience in busines,s finance operations or foundation experience plus the three (3) years (for a total of 7 years) experience may be considered #in lieu# of a Bachelor#s degree. # Ability to work continuously and accurately with figures; perform arithmetic operations, accurately compare and transcribe figures.# Computer literate and demonstrate working knowledge in word processing, spreadsheets and databases. Knowledge of general business equipment, have excellent oral and written skills, good telephone etiquette and the ability to interact well with employees and management. High standards of personal integrity and professional work skills. Ability to plan and organize work within a project and ability to make timely decisions. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision in a high pressure and complex environment.# # Preferred: Master#s Degree within Business, Accounting, Finance or other relevant field.
