And how we’re able to provide our incredible talent with an innovative culture and great benefits.Who We're Looking ForGeneral Summary:The Global Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team is responsible for driving IT prioritization and focus through a risk-based approach derived from quantifiable and transparent analysis. This position is responsible for remediation projects involving security-related IT General Controls both domestically and internationally to ensure the controls are assessed for compliance, remediated if non-compliant, and can successfully pass audit scrutiny by both internal and external auditing organizations. This position requires the ability to understand and address complex control issues and equate the resolution of issues to company plans and objectives, and plan and manage remediation or implementation projects.-Some of What You'll DoDuties and Responsibilities:35%•    Point of contact for organization GRC project efforts, including requirement gathering, project management, and other project related activities. •    Facilitate / perform activities in identifying control gaps (policy, procedure, practice, or organizational structure) that if implemented would provide reasonable assurance that security objectives will be achieved.•    Support the review and compliance of defined IT general controls•    Conduct risk assessments on Syniverse owned products and provide management with detailed risk analysis. 35%•    Lead security awareness training and activities to strengthen the security of the organization•    Participate in customer audit program to include collection of evidence, assisting in onsite audit, and tracking of remediation items for technical security controls.•    Review 3rd party security questionnaires to ensure proper security practices are in place per established Information Security audit guidelines.•    Review and update Information Security policies as needed.•    Define and deliver appropriate IT GRC metrics, analytics, reports, and scorecards.30%•    Review customer and 3rd party contracts to ensure appropriate security requirements are included to protect the organization•    Partner with other business units to define data / asset classification requirements and processes. •    Maintain overall risk register and present findings to appropriate business units and executive management on a regular basis. Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM field, and 4+ years of work experience 8+ years of information security experience and 3+ years in a GRC functionAdditional Qualifications:IT Risk Management / Audit industry certification (such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, etc.) (preferred)In depth understanding of SOX, NIST, ISO 27002:2013 (preferred)Proficient technical skills, including audit, business analysis, IT risk management, operation system and data sources knowledge, performance metrics and reporting, project management, and vendor management (preferred)Proficient working knowledge within the following risk domains / technologies (preferred)Database and application securityIDS / IPS technologies, SystemAccess Administration,Firewall technologiesNetwork ArchitectureSecurity Event Logging and MonitoringKey Management / Tokenization, Database / Application / Network Layer Secure ProtocolsPhysical and Environmental SecuritySecure Software / Code DevelopmentChange Management, and Vulnerability Management.Soft Skills:Working knowledge or ability to learn company policies and proceduresStrong customer focus with ability to interact with all levels of employees professionally and courteouslyExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and follow-up skillsThe ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and balance competing priorities is keyThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.  It is not designed to be utilized as a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required of employees assigned to this job.-Why You Should Join UsJoin us as we write a new chapter, guided by world-class leadership.
