Job applications for current students will not be considered if submitted through the external career center.Position DetailsThe University of Tampa Office of Development and University Relations has a position open for a Staff Assistant II to support the office in various departmental communication and initiatives. This position reports to the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Development and University Relations.Responsibilities 1. Process and acknowledge gifts for Vice President, Assistant Vice President, and the Director of the Campaign.2. Assist in maintaining Campaign data entry and prepare corresponding reports in coordination with Advancement Services team.3. Maintain Campaign files.4. Organize special Campaign events in collaboration with Development/Stewardship5. Collaborate with Director of Stewardship and Donor Relations in endowed scholarship reporting6. Offering office support (answering phones, e-mail communications, guest reception) as appropriate for office continuity. As such, this position will manage student employees.7. Participate in the creation of accurate donor listings for publication and recognition.8. Interface with UT community and public.9. Collaborate with Administrative Assistant in organizing events and meetings as needed.10. Provide support to VP and AVP and Director of Campaign, as needed, in coordination with Administrative Assistant.  (cohort model).11. Provide support to other areas of the Development team as needed.12. Assist in updating Raiser’s Edge.13. Assist Administrative Assistant with Board of Trustees reporting and gift tracking/processing.14. Conduct VP needed business when Administrative Assistant is out of office.15. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.Qualifications1. HS diploma required, some college or professional educational courses preferred.2. Two (2) years office clerical experience required.3. Previous experience in an academic setting preferred.4. Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) required.5. Experience with a CMS (content management system) a plus.6. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and customer service skills required.7. Ability to multi-task; attention to detail and organizational skills needed as well as establish priorities and manage time wisely.  8. Donor database experience preferred. Experience with Raiser’s Edge database is an advantage.16. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Microsoft Office.17.
