Job Overview
IT Systems Managers at GuidePoint Security enjoy working on the cutting edge of Information Technology and Information Security. Role and Responsibilities
• Consult senior-level stakeholders and key business units across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and to optimize the use of systems and applications.
• Research, document, prioritize, implement and communicate technical requirements effectively with technical and nontechnical users.
• Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT footprint (computer and information systems, security, communication systems, etc.).
• Proven experience leading a small team of Engineers and Administrators.
• Experience working directly with a help desk or support team to provide escalation support and training opportunities.
• Proven ability to lead multi-function projects and provide executive updates.
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and make recommendations and improvements.
• Provide escalation support as required.
• Research, evaluate and report on emerging technologies and services.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
Position Requirements:
• Possess strong client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedure manuals.
• Expert knowledge administering macOS, Microsoft Operating Systems, CentOS and Ubuntu systems.
• 5+ years VMware administration experience.
• 5+ years advanced networking experience (experience with Palo Alto and Juniper devices a plus).
• Experience working with cloud IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience working with Okta or similar Idp technologies.
• Experience with Intune.
• Experience with Atlassian products a plus.
• Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Educational & Professional Credentials:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of Systems Engineering experience (server, network and virtualization architecture and support).
• 3+ years managing a team of System and Network Engineers.
• Professional certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, CCNA, VCP.
