JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for handling the day-to-day functions of devotional and spiritual counseling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Assesses the spiritual needs/concerns of patients and families by direct communication with the individuals, by communication with the patient’s clergy, or by information obtained by other personnel.
•
Provides consultation, education, and support for other members of the Healthcare center and the community.
•
Assists with volunteer training as requested.
•
Conducts one-on-one visitation with residents.
•
Conducts memorial services as needed.
•
Counsels residents and families when death is imminent.
•
Leadership of worship services.
•
Conducts devotional times.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Completion of a Master’s degree from an accredited theological school/seminary. Appropriate endorsement within his/her denomination. Completion of 1-4 units in Clinical Pastoral Education.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of ministerial experience.
