Primary Purpose of Position: *
As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team, the Marketing and Communications Specialist, Digital will serve as backup for the website maintenance, digital media and graphic design. This position will be responsible for assisting in website and social media analytics and compiling reports for submission to various entities. Candidate is expected to understand company goals and strategy; and help ensure that the Partners’ brand identity is cohesive, creative, professional and impactful. Candidate will help improve the user experience by visually bringing the Partners brand to life and maintaining its consistency across various touch points. This is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the Marketing and Communications Operations Manager.

Role and Responsibilities: *
Graphic Design:
• Create graphics and design layouts for, but not limited to: brochures, newsletters, magazines, handbooks, annual reports, internal templates, flyers, direct mail pieces, billboards, ads (print, digital, social media), signage, tradeshow collateral, PowerPoint presentations, Constant Contact e-mails, special event-related materials, social media accounts, infographics, YouTube videos, maps, stationery and envelopes.
• Collaborate with Graphic Designer and M&C Lead, Creative Services to select all aspects, within budget, of print projects: photographs, illustrations, size, colors, ink, typography, paper, positioning of print and art, printing technique.
• Collaborate and participate in brain-storming activities to help conceptualize and implement effective print/multimedia campaigns with creative, fresh designs that meet marketing goals.
• Revise existing communication pieces and provide press-ready artwork for print production.
• Collaborate to revise and update Partners branding standards manual.
• Help build out image library in online brand store.
• Assist in tracking of new materials as well as revision schedules for existing collateral.

Social Media: *
• Collaborate to populate social media editorial calendar, taking into consideration content usage across multi channels (social, website, newsletters, etc.)
• Create images/find photos for social media content that accurately reflect Partners mission and brand.
• Assist with distribution of content through multiple digital media channels.
• Help conceptualize, prepare and utilize compelling video content for digital channels.
• Assist in pulling analytics to inform decisions and compiling reports for submission to the state.

Website: *
• Collaborate to manage the appearance and content of the Partners’ website to ensure it positively promotes the image of the organization and contains current, accurate and complete information that is easy to access by intended audiences.
• Perform day-to-day website tasks, including calendar postings.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to keep website content up-to-date and fresh.
• Participate in creative sessions for the design/redesign/feature adds for all external and internal online properties.
• Assist with setting standards and creating best practice guidelines for internal users and ensures site-wide content conforms to established standards.
• Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
• Assist in evaluating competing online properties, including websites, social networking efforts, etc.
• Assist in maintaining responsive design assuring site is mobile-friendly and multi-platform ready. Test and develop for accessibility compliance, cross-browser, platform and devices.
• Produce web-ready Photoshop comps, maintaining Partners design standards with consistent language across multiple web properties.
• Assist in coding in HTML, CSS, etc., as needed.
• Assist in creating and modifying layout templates and styles for a content management system.
• Assist in evaluating and ensuring that ingoing and outgoing hyperlinks are appropriate, operational and current.
• Assist in pulling website analytics, tracking issues and resolutions and compiling reports for submission to the state.

• Maintain the confidentiality of information coming into and being disseminated out of the department. Respect the privacy of individual colleagues within the department and expect the same in return.

Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of Partners, as well as the focus statement of the Marketing and Communications department.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *
• Experience working with online marketing tools.
• Knowledge of website and digital analytics.
• Familiarity with web design and publishing.
• Design skills to produce visual content (graphic, photographic and video).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Spark, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere.
• Ability to establish and adhere to priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Self-initiator, collaborative and able to work without supervision as necessary.
• Desire to learn new skills and comfortable tackling new tasks.
• Competency in web development languages a plus.
• Experience with WordPress a plus.
• Attention to detail and ability to demonstrate innovation with work product.
• Adaptability according to requirements.
• Able to travel as needed

Education/Experience Required: *
Bachelors’ degree in Marketing and Communications-related field, including Graphic Design, Website Development, Fine Arts or related degree program OR equivalent education/training experience. Three-five years of Marketing and Communications experience preferred. Must provide a digital portfolio.
