Primary Purpose of Position: *
This position assists the Data Reporting team with management of MCO data needs and reporting for the agency which includes the essential tasks of review, selection, analysis, and interpretation of data for ad hoc, ongoing and special performance reports. Position uses various tools and software including but not limited to AlphaMCS, CMT, NCTRACKS, BI, NCTRAKS and NCTOPPS.

Role and Responsibilities: *
• Assures that essential data are collected through informational technology (IT) systems and other sources to assess and develop key indicator reports and performance data in a meaningful manner for LME/MCO monitoring, planning, and reporting functions
• Works with supervisor and others to assess agency information needs and make recommendations, as appropriate
• Works independently and with others to develop accurate and useful reports, tools, and resources to promote a qualitative and quantitative data driven organization
• Accomplishes tasks utilizing statistical analysis
• Assists in identifying, analyzing and reporting on trends and performance outcomes as designated
• Maintains resource materials and data files necessary to carryout departmental responsibilities
• Gathers data related to LME/MCO goals and makes recommendations for reporting data for use as management tools
• Assists supervisor in assuring the integrity of systems used in data collection, analysis and interpretation of information, accuracy of reports through data validation, and that projects are completed within established guidelines, including established timeframes
• Performs validation of data for published reports
• Provides technical assistance to departments, as appropriate
• Assists with the data collection and evaluation of Quality Improvement Projects
• Evaluates, interprets and analyzes raw data for satisfaction surveys and other projects as designated
• Responsible for ongoing processes/projects as assigned by the supervisor (i.e., NC Treatment Outcomes and Program Performance System, Department of Justice Transition to Community Living reporting, DMA/DMH reporting, accreditation reporting, etc.)
• Collaborates with other analysts interdepartmentally and serves as back up for other QM department staff
• Participates in committees as assigned
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Working knowledge of data extraction methodologies

• Ability to summarize analytical results graphically and numerically in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to utilize various software products
• Proficiency in pivot tables, macros, and Excel formulas
• Ability to summarize analytical results graphically and numerically in Crystal Reports, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and applicable software products
• Knowledge of and ability to work with Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) reference materials and other national quality improvement standards and resources
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, providers, community agencies, State and local officials, and other LME/LME/MCO stakeholders

Education and Experience Required: *
Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of experience in statistical reporting and/or analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other requireme
• Must.live in North Carolina or within 40 miles of the NC border.

Education and Experience Preferred: *
Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in statistics, data management or related area and two (2) years of experience in collecting and reporting statistical data in a Human Service/healthcare setting. Experience with LME/MCO system preferred. Experience with SQL. Experience with Access.
