Position Summary
Oversee all accounting transactions related to Pharmacy Accounts Receivable. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of pharmacy 3rd party sales. Work closely with Inmar- vendor and Genpact on 3rd party transactions and pharmacy reclamation.
Primary Duties
Prepare journal entries
Perform reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and period end activities
Perform 3rd Rx sales reconciliation weekly, including pulling down pharmacy reports
Analyzes general ledger accounts for accuracy; analyzes accrual accounts to ensure proper accruals
Review bank deposits and pull lockbox images and correspondence, follow-up on correspondence when needed. Partner with Inmar-A/R vendor on outstanding payment application.
Act as a liaison for 3rd party transactions with Retail ADUSA pharmacies and RBS Pharmacy Team.
Process 3rd party vendor pharmacy re-pays and patient repays
Review outstanding debit and credit balances on pharmacy claims
Work closely with Inmar- A/R vendor
Review and prepare write offs in A/R system
Assist on projects and other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Strong understanding of accounting theories, methodologies, principles and practices, and the impact of departmental transactions to the financial statements
Extensive knowledge of credit and collections techniques, revenue recognition rules, and general accounting requirements- pharmacy background preferred
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, experience with complex spreadsheets including lookups and pivot tables
Experience with account analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
Experience with or ability to use query tools for reporting
Qualifications
7+ years of high-volume Accounts Receivable or Accounting experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and/or professional certification (CPA, CMA, MBA, etc.)
