Overview:
This role will support the increased demand for internal and external reporting on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data collection, business control, and reporting within the Ahold Delhaize USA (AD USA) Brands. This role also requires partnership across all US entities to align with US Brands and Group leadership on data governance and standards for environmental and social methodologies, reporting procedures, accounting definitions, and target setting. Develop and maintains strong relationships with the relevant teams in the brands and GSO to ensure alignment. The role plays a crucial function in modeling scenarios for setting public goals.
Responsibilities:
Gains alignment with US Brands and Group leadership on data governance and standards for environmental and social methodologies, reporting procedures, accounting definitions, and target setting. Develop and maintains strong relationships with the relevant teams in the brands and GSO to ensure alignment.
Responsible for coordinating the annual target setting process, reviewing and advising on target finalization for in-year and three-year plans against public goals. Lead a reporting and analytics function responsible for modeling three-year roadmaps for the US region and detailing quarterly plans against group public goals
Oversee the annual, quarterly, and periodic reporting across all health and sustainability goals and performance. Lead coordination of health, sustainability, and ESG reporting across the US region, ensuring seamless connection and collaboration between the teams
Lead compliance with various regulatory disclosures and data capturing and reporting efforts to position the company with various 3 rd party assessments, e.g., DJSI, MSCI, UN, Various NGOs
Drives alignment and communicates group sustainability KPIs for strategic and tactical initiatives. Provides performance insights and data as a service to all US brands managing performance against targets.
Business lead on the multi-year strategic project with Finance and IT, responsible for detailing the business requirements for data governance, IT systems, and people and process controls to produce data that is complete, accurate, and prepared to pass a reasonable assurance audit.
Qualifications:
Minimum years' experience: 10 years in data reporting with 3+ years in finance and sustainability reporting
Knowledgeable of communications for international companies and corporate ESG reporting/ratings
Has passion for sustainability and demonstrated interest in driving societal impacts through more sustainable business practices.
Master's degree strongly preferred in related subject (such as sustainability or business administration/management)
General financial reporting knowledge preferred
Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
Proven collaboration skills
Excellent people leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be a critical thinker
