Responsibilities:
Sr. CT Technologist will lead in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans of various organs and structures of the human body.
Operates with minimal supervision, uses independent judgment to determine quality of radiographs, and compliance with established protocols
Engages in population appropriate communication. Has knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.
Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment. Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of patient.
Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary. Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.
Oversees the schedule of a particular area and optimizes the use of equipment and staff to most effectively serve patients and physicians.
Prepares schedules for employees and support staff for a sub-specialty area of shift.
Orders supplies and verifies the area is adequately stocked for daily operation.
Provides first line resolution of patient scheduling and employee relations problems.
Provides line staff with communication and develops and maintains the technologist’s skill in procedures.
Participates in the performance evaluation for the area employees.
Makes recommendations for hiring, promotions, merit increases and discipline for staff under his/her supervision.
Performs the duties of the CT Manager in their absence.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: Associate Degree, minimum required. Baccalaureate degree, preferred.
Years of Experience : Three - five years equivalent experience, minimum required
License and Certification:
Current BLS Certification
Current ARRT (R)(CT)
Current ODH Radiologic License
